Brand identity design for Nigerian businesses, built to be remembered
Your brand is not your logo. It's how people feel when they encounter your business: on Google, on Instagram, on a business card, in a pitch deck. Brela designs brand identities that communicate clearly, build trust immediately, and stay consistent everywhere your business appears.
The brand problem that's costing you clients
In Nigeria, most business owners think about their brand last. They focus on the product, the service, the operations — and then, almost as an afterthought, they ask a friend who ‘does graphics’ to make a logo in a few hours. The result is a business that can’t be told apart from its competitors. A logo that looks different on WhatsApp than on a banner. Brand colours that don’t match across materials. A visual identity that screams ‘small business’ even when the service is excellent.
Buyers make snap judgements. In the 3 seconds they take to assess a business — on Instagram, on a Google search result, on a business card — a weak brand loses the sale before the conversation even starts. A strong brand wins it. Brela’s branding service builds identities that communicate professionalism, build trust, and make your business memorable — so the quality of your product finally matches the quality of how it looks.

Beyond the logo: what a complete brand identity includes
The logo system
A professional logo is not one file. It's a system — a primary mark, a condensed version, an icon-only version, and rules for how each is used. We design all of these so your brand looks correct whether it's on a huge hoarding in Rumuola or a small favicon in a browser tab.
The colour palette
Colour is one of the strongest signals of brand character. Your primary colour carries your brand's primary emotion. Secondary colours support without competing. We define your palette precisely — with hex codes, CMYK values for print, and usage rules so your brand is consistent whether a designer or your receptionist is producing materials.
Typography
Fonts communicate personality as powerfully as colour. A financial services company and a children's education brand should not be using the same typeface. We select and pair typefaces that reinforce your brand character and provide clear guidance on how to use them — for headings, body text, captions, and digital interfaces.
Brand voice
Included in the Full Brand Strategy package — a guide to how your brand sounds in writing. The words you use. The tone you take. Whether you're formal or conversational. Whether you use humour or stay earnest. A consistent brand voice makes everything you write feel like it came from the same place.
The brand guidelines document
Everything codified in one professionally designed PDF that anyone — a new team member, a printer, a social media manager — can use to produce on-brand materials without asking you. This is the document that pays for the branding investment over and over again.
How Brela builds your brand
Discovery
We start with questions, not design. We want to understand your business deeply — who your customers are, who your competitors are, what you do better than anyone else, and what you want people to feel when they encounter your brand. This is the most important step.
Research
We review your competitors' visual identities, your industry's visual conventions, and your target audience's aesthetic preferences. Good branding understands the category — and then either fits within its conventions or deliberately breaks them.
Concepts
We present 3 distinct concept directions — each based on a different strategic interpretation of your brand. You choose a direction, we refine it, and then take it through to the full identity system.
Identity build
Once the logo direction is approved, we build the complete identity — colour, typography, supporting elements, templates, and guidelines. Everything is created in vector format (Adobe Illustrator) for infinite scalability.
Delivery and handover
You receive a full file pack and your brand guidelines document. We walk you through the guidelines so your team understands how to use the brand correctly. Your files are organised, named clearly, and ready to hand to any designer, printer, or web developer.
