Hire a Nigerian Web Developer: World-Class Work, African-Market Expertise
Nigeria has some of the most talented developers in Africa. At Brela Agency, you get direct access to that talent: a professional agency engagement with clear deliverables, fixed pricing, and remote-first delivery. No guesswork. No disappearing freelancers.
Who this page is for
- You're in the UK, US, or Canada, or Europe and want to build something for the Nigerian or African market
- You're Nigerian diaspora and want a trusted agency back home — not a random freelancer on Fiverr
- You're an international company launching a product or service in Nigeria
- You've tried remote freelancers before and got burned — late delivery, poor communication, or unfinished work
- You need a WordPress website, WooCommerce store, custom web app, or ongoing digital support
- You want to pay in USD and work with professionals who understand both Nigerian and international standards

Why international clients choose Brela over freelancers
There are thousands of Nigerian developers on Upwork, Fiverr, and LinkedIn. Some are excellent. Many are not. And even the good ones often operate without structure — no contracts, no design handoffs, no quality process, and no one to escalate to when things go wrong. Brela is different because we operate as a professional agency — not a solo freelancer with a portfolio site.

What that means in practice

Tools we work with

Working with Brela remotely: the process
Initial conversation
Send us a message through our contact form or email. Tell us what you need — a rough brief is enough to start. We'll schedule a video call within 24–48 hours. We're on WAT (GMT+1), which overlaps comfortably with UK business hours and provides workable slots with most US East Coast time zones.
Proposal and agreement
After the call, we send a written proposal within 24 hours. It covers scope, deliverables, timeline, and fixed price in USD. We use a clear service agreement that protects both sides. 50% deposit required to begin.
Project delivery
We manage the project using shared tools (Notion, Google Drive, or your preferred platform). You receive weekly progress updates and milestone deliverables for review. We communicate primarily via email and video calls — no disappearing acts.
Review, revisions, and launch
Two rounds of revisions are included in every project. Once you're satisfied, we go live. For web projects, this includes domain setup, SSL, analytics, and a staging-to-live migration.
Handover
You receive all files, source code, credentials, and documentation. We do a recorded walkthrough so your team can manage the project going forward. Ongoing support is available on a monthly retainer if needed.
Practical information for international clients
How to pay
International clients pay in USD. We accept payment via Wise (Transferwise), Payoneer, PayPal, or international bank transfer. Payment links are sent immediately after the proposal is signed.
Timezone and communication
Brela operates on West Africa Time (WAT, GMT+1). This overlaps comfortably with UK business hours and allows for early morning or late afternoon calls with US East Coast clients. We aim for same-day responses to all project-related messages.
Contracts and IP
Every project is covered by a written service agreement. All intellectual property — code, design files, content — is transferred to you in full upon final payment. We retain no rights to your project.
VAT and tax
Brela is a registered Nigerian company (RC number available on request). For international clients, our invoices are issued in USD and are not subject to Nigerian VAT. We can provide documentation for your accounting team if needed.
